Der Cupra Formentor sichert die DTM ab
Die DTM startet am Wochenende in Portugal in ihre neue Saison. Als Sicherheitsfahrzeuge kommen sechs Cupra Formentor VZ5 zum Einsatz. Die Marke stellt zwei Safety Cars, zwei Race Control Cars, ein Medical Car und ein Leading Car. Sie sind in der Hausfarbe Kupfer lackiert. Die Fahrzeuge haben als Sonderanfertigung ein Upgrade von Abt und leisten 450 PS (331 kW). Das maximale Drehmoment legt um 50 Newtonmeter auf 530 Nm zu. Das sorgt für eine Beschleunigung von null auf 100 km/h in 3,9 Sekunden und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 270 km/h.
Die Cupra Formentor sind bei allen 16 DTM-Rennen sowie bei den 14 DTM-Trophy-Rennen im Einsatz. Die Motorsportserie wird in Deutschland exklusiv auf Pro Sieben übertragen. Die jeweiligen Streckenvorstellungen erfolgen ebenfalls aus einem Formentor heraus. (aum)
