„World Car of the Year 2023“: Hyundai räumt ab
Der Hyundai Ioniq 6 ist „World Car of the Year 2023“. Die Auszeichnung wurde heute im Vorfeld der New York Autoshow vergeben (7.–16.4.). Das neue Modell gewann darüber hinaus die Titel „World Electric Vehicle“ und wurde für das beste Design („World Car Design of the Year“) gelobt. Zudem wurde Sangyup Lee, der Designchef von Hyundai und Genesis, zur Person des Jahres ernannt.
Der EV6 GT der Konzernmarke Kia wurde „World Performance Car 2023“. Als kleine Überraschung dürfen die Gewinner der Kategorien „World Urban Car“ und „World Luxury Car“ gelten: die Titel gingen an den Citroën C3 und den Lucid Air. (aum)
