Alpine und Lacoste gehen eine Kooperation ein. Flankiert wird die gemeinsame Bekleidungskollektion von einem Showcar-Unikat, dem Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye „Beware of the Crocodile“. Das Fahrzeug, das eine Reihe von La-Coste-Details zeigt, spielt auch eine Rolle in dem für die Zusammenarbeit entstandenen Werbespot „The Test“. In dem Video ist Filmunternehmer und Lacoste-Botschafter Pierre Niney mit Pierre Gasly zu sehen, dem Fahrer des BWT Alpine Formula One Teams und ebenfalls Lacoste-Botschafter. Beide spielen sich selbst und treffen auf den Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye. Als Außenfarbe wird ein bläuliches Weiß verwendet, das von alpinen Landschaften inspiriert ist und an Schnee, Eis und Frost erinnert. In und auf dem Showcar finden sich insgesamt 290 Krokodile, dem Markenzeichen von Lacoste. Das Interieur ist komplett in Rot getaucht, ein Anspielung auf die rote Zunge des Tiers und des Markennzeichens des bnerühmten französischen Labels. Die Modekollektion selbst besteht aus Poloshirts, T-Shirts, leichter Funktionskleidung und Accessoires, die vom Tennis ebenso inspiriert sind wie vom Motorsport. (aum)
